This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement across the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
