Our Purpose Is Only Killing' - How The Sudanese Vicious Militia Perpetrated a Massacre

Militiamen chuckle as they travel on the bed of a utility vehicle, hurrying alongside a line of multiple lifeless forms and driving facing the descending Sudanese evening sky.
"See such accomplishment. See this mass destruction," a combatant exclaims.
The fighter beams as he directs the camera on his person and his associate militiamen, their RSF insignia clearly shown: "They will all perish like this."
The combatants are celebrating a mass killing that relief organizations believe killed over thousands of individuals in the Sudan's urban center of the Darfur city during October.
An Urban Center Isolated from the World
Following their control of the urban area under blockade for approximately an extended period, from late summer the paramilitary force moved to consolidate its position and restrict the leftover inhabitants.
Space-based imagery demonstrate that forces commenced to erect a massive sand wall - a raised sand barrier - around the boundaries of el-Fasher, sealing off access routes and blocking relief supplies.
As the siege intensified, 78 people were murdered in an militia attack on a place of worship on September 19th, while the UN stated dozens additional were murdered in unmanned aircraft and cannon bombardments on a makeshift community in October.
Explicit Footage Depicts Defenseless People Executed
In the early morning on late October the paramilitary force conquered the last army positions and took control of the central headquarters in the community, the headquarters of the Military Unit, as the army retreated.
One of the most horrific videos to emerge and analysed revealed the results of a mass killing at a educational facility on the west of the urban area, where numerous corpses were visible spread throughout the floor.
An older individual clad in a traditional garment sat alone amid the corpses. He looked to look as a fighter carrying with a weapon moved descending the steps facing him. Raising his weapon, the gunman fired a solitary shot at the man, who fell to the floor lifeless.
"How come is this one yet living," a fighter shouted. "Execute this one."
Space-based imagery taken on October 26th appeared to verify that shootings were furthermore conducted on the streets of al-Fashir, based on a study issued by the university analysis team.
One observer who provided testimony said they had witnessed "numerous of our kin being massacred - these individuals were gathered in a specific area and all killed."
RSF Commanders Attempt to Carry Out Public Relations
Following the events that followed the atrocity, militia commander acknowledged that his troops had carried out "violations" and announced the occurrences would be investigated.
Included among arrested was following a report recording his executions. Meticulously staged and edited video shared on the RSF's authorized social media channel show the commander being led into a prison room at a prison on the perimeter of al-Fashir.
Simultaneously, the militia and affiliated online accounts started attempting to reframe the account.
Posts presenting its combatants providing aid to civilians were shared by some accounts, while the militia's communications team shared several clips claiming to demonstrate the compassionate treatment of government detainees.
Regardless of the social media campaign being employed by the paramilitary, their activities in al-Fashir have generated worldwide anger.
